1. What is a pre-hung door?

A pre-hung door is a complete door unit that includes the door leaf, door frame (jamb), hinges, and a pre-drilled lock hole (default face hole: 54mm, backset: 60mm, unless advised otherwise). It is designed to be installed directly into a rough opening, saving you time and effort during the installation process. Our pre-hung doors are meticulously assembled to ensure a precise fit and smooth operation.

2. How do you define right-hung and left-hung?

Left-hung and right-hung doors refer to the direction in which a door swings when opened and closed. To determine whether a door is left-hung or right-hung, stand on the side of the door where the hinges are visible.

If the hinges are on the left side, the door is classified as left-hung. Conversely, if the hinges are on the right side, the door is classified as right-hung.

3. How do I measure for a new interior prehung door?

Measuring for a new interior door is a simple process. Start by measuring the width of the door opening at three points: the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest measurement as the width of the door. Next, measure the height of the door opening from the floor to the top of the opening. This measurement will be the height of the door jamb. 4. Can I customize the size of the doors?

Yes, you can. Simply choose the standard door size that is the closest larger size to what you need. Then, go to our Service section and place a trimming order. At checkout, please leave a note specifying the exact door size you’re after. Our team will take care of the rest.

5. Do you deliver to regions outside of Auckland?

Yes, we deliver nationwide across New Zealand. At checkout, please select “Pick Up” and leave your delivery address (if outside Auckland) in the order note section. Our team will contact you with a detailed delivery quote based on your location.
